Getting started (Early Access Version)

This is the getting started guide for the second early access release of the ARCatar gaming webapp. This guide covers the gamer and creator roles and recommended tasks. This version of the app is the production environment where you can create your real profiles linked to your real digital identifier, the ARCid.

• Submit an idea for improvement or new functionality in our Ideation Portal.

• If something isn’t working properly, review our Knowledge-base and Known Issues List first. If what you’re seeing isn’t already known, submit a ticket to Support describing the problem and what device/browser you used when the problem occurred.

Available Features (standard subscriber)

1. Gamer Role & Profile: Gamers are us. Define yourself the way you want to and share your data with others, or not. It's your choice, not ours.

2. Friends & Characters: Connect with your current friends, and make new ones, through your game characters across games/platforms.

3. Groups: Stop herding cats. Share a link with your guild/clan/squad/faction/team/group members for the next game event no matter what mix of socials they're on.

4. The Guide: No more missed content because you didn't know about it or weren't notified -- your personal game/content Guide always has just what you want, when you want it.

5. Algorithm Controller: The power is yours. Craft your own algorithm for content, games and more simply by liking them. Discover content and games from controllable filters.

6. Creator Role, Profile & Channels: You're a star. Define yourself the way you want to and share your data with others, or not. It's your choice, not ours.

7. Content Curation: Show off your best work, or your latest, or all of the above for all your channels/platforms.

8. Schedule & Notify: Make sure your audience always knows about your content in time to enjoy it no matter how big or small your audience may be.

9. Algorithm Controller: The power is yours. Craft your own algorithm for your channels and content to be discovered and liked.

10. Audience Mgmt: View and directly connect with your verified audience across channels/platforms. See what your audience's interests are and discover what is trending.

Recommended Tasks To Get You Started

1. After completing the registration process, login and setup your personal Gamer profile and like some more of the 27,000 games and 100 interests available. This is how you control your algorithm.

2. If you are also a Creator, setup your Creator profile and channels - YouTube is automated, while Twitch and Discord are manual.

3. Link some cool content for your followers to discover and enjoy.

4. As a Gamer, search for friends, follow Creators and checkout their content in The Guide.

5. Play! Let us know what you think using the reporting options above.

Some Rules And Limitations May Apply

• Every user must setup a private or public Gamer role/profile to use the app. 1 private group is setup at the same time. If private, that profile cannot be found in search.

• All users can choose to add a Creator role or not.

• Standard Creator roles must setup a public profile and at least 1 public content channel (primary). An additional 3 content channels, public or private, can also be added. One of each platform type is allowed.

• Standard Creator roles can add up to 5 content per channel.

• The webapp supports these platforms

  • Socials: Discord, Xtwitter, Mastodon (manual linking)

  • Content/Community: YouTube (automated linking), Twitch (manual), Discord (manual)

• The early access webapp is best experienced in the Chrome on Android or Apple smartphones.
